Functional Foyer

We love to make an entrance—or better yet, create entrances that make a striking first impression.

An entryway sets the tone for a home and adds formality much like the entrance of a grand hotel or a mansion’s foyer.

A blank slate, this existing entryway had much potential, but it needed identity and purpose. Though inspired by the vision of a beautiful, grand space to greet guests, practicality had to lead the design.

Our goal was to create the functionality of a mudroom with the elegance of a true foyer. We achieved this with a thoughtful layout for a clutter-free design and curated furnishings, like an armoire that doubles as storage, a green velvet settee for seating, a large rug to ground the space while keeping the outside dirt at bay, a basket to corral shoes and miscellaneous items, and an entry table … because what’s an entrance without one?

The result is a functional yet stylish foyer that welcomes guests and serves everyday needs.
